Student
Locker Agreement
The school provides lockers to students for the
purpose of temporary storage of their personal belonging. Also, to secure the lockers, students are
provided with combination locks.
Maintenance of proper order and discipline is one of
the duties of both school administration and teachers under the Schools Act. To ensure the safety and security of students
and staff, alike, it may be necessary on occasions for the administration or
other authorities to inspect or search a student’s locker. Such an inspection or search would be carried
out if reasonable grounds existed for doing so, and not on an arbitrary or random
basis.
This information is to ensure that both parents and
students understand these policies, and that lockers, themselves as with all
other school property, remain in the ownership and control of the school Board
despite the permission granted to students to ensure their personal belongsing from other students, subject to these policies.
For permission to use a locker, the official Pearce
Permission Form has to be signed by the parent/guardian/and returned to the
school as soon as possible.
