March 6 - PEGNL Bridge Building Competition
Congratulations to all students, teachers and parents who played such an important role, again this year, in the encouragment, design and creation
of unique model bridges, made of Popsicle sticks and glue --that were tested at the Johnson GeoCentre on Saturday, March 6!!
Our students represented Holy Trinity VERY, VERY WELL!!! We are proud of you!!!
In addition, Ms Ledwell, Ms O'Reilly, Mr. O'Connor and Ms Roberts all enjoyed the excitement!! We also enjoyed seeing our former students,
now engineering students, who were very active during the competition!!!
We had FUN!!!
Our Bridges were tested against other schools in the Avalon region.
Last year we had a great showing by both our Junior High and Senior High students!
One of our Junior High Bridges could hold the weight of a small vehicle.....
Our Senior High Team won the newly created, Senior High Competitive Division!!
There are cash prizes for the best bridge builders, including a $1,000 Memorial University entry scholarship for the best high school bridge
These bridges are made from popsicle sticks and white glue and are tested on bridge day.
We all look forward to the judges' decisions, which will be rendered, after all bridges, provincewide, have been tested!!!
