Community Name

Normam's Cove attained it's name from the Newhook family who were one of the first to settle in Norman's Cove and Long cove. It was called Norman's Cove because the Newhooks were of the French Norman Stock. The name of Long Cove is pretty self explainatory, getting its name from the geographical feature of the long cove.
